Bride Wedding Speech Examples to Help You Along

Unfortunately I didn’t make use of bride wedding speech examples until the last minute, but even if you are in the same situation as I was, I would recommend these as a way to avoid writers block and make sure that you prepare the best speech before the big day.

Using Examples and Still Being Unique
The great thing about bride wedding speech examples is that they let you fill out the blanks, and you can still make a unique wedding speech. There is many ways you can use the speech examples, some just like to get inspiration, others use them as a checklist for their own speech and some again just want an easy speech to avoid writing too much. No matter what, I would really recommend you to look at some examples to help you write your speech.

They usually work by giving a sample layout and things you should remember to say including:

  • People you should remember to thank
  • Stories you can tell
  • Your feelings on you big day
  • A few wedding speech jokes
  • Things about your grooms personality
  • A few tips to get the guests involved

That’s just a few examples of what they usually include, but even though I have read what a bride wedding speech should include in many places, it is a good idea to have them in an ordered list, not to forget anything.

The examples really helped me to stick to the point without boring the guests, and talking too much. If you talk too much and don’t stick to the point of your speech, the guests will be bored and it will end up being a bad speech. But since the brides wedding speech is an important part of the day, you shouldn’t worry about keeping it too short, as the guests always want to listen to the bride. Sticking to my list is what helped me to not talk too long and get the guests bored.

If you would like some bride wedding speech examples, I would recommend you to go on the internet like I did. It will be possible to find some examples that suit you, and the best examples will also give you tips on how to make your speech completely unique and unforgettable.

5 Tips for Writing a Bride Wedding Speech

When you get closer and closer to the big day, you get more and more excited. At least that was what I felt, when I got closer to my wedding with Luke. The more excited I got, the less I could think of what to put in my bride wedding speech. I am sure that most other brides probably feel the same as I did, so I’ve put together a few tips you can use for writing your bride wedding speech.

Tip 1: Write from your heart
Okay – you have probably heard it before, and maybe it sounds like a tacky or simple trick. But there is no way around it; this is definitely the most important thing in your speech. When you are writing down what you would like to say, keep it true and keep writing from your heart. Everything in your speech has to be important, both for you, your groom, your family and everybody else at the wedding.

Tip 2: Include humor in your speech
Keep it a bit witty and concise; after all the brides big toast should not just be a long boring speak, where your grandparents fall asleep. Put in a few funny remarks, but don’t embarrass or humiliate anyone. Be careful not to step on anyone’s toes, it will kill the mood.

Tip 3: Tell the story of you and your groom
This is really important in any wedding speech; the story about you and your bride. Tell how you met each other or your first time together. Make it a bit of a love story, and you can really move the guests at your wedding.

Tip 4: Remember thank everybody
A lot of people actually forget to thank important people at their wedding, because they didn’t write a list of people to thank. Make a list of everybody you need to thank on your wedding day, and you will already be one step ahead.

Tip 5: Be comfortable
It can be really nerve-wracking to stand in front of a big crowd and making your wedding toast. I personally took a couple of glasses of champagne before I made my speech, and that helped me calm down. Of course you shouldn’t get drunk, but make sure you don’t have too many nerves to make your speech. Relax and don’t think about it too much – it is your day, and you should enjoy your day, that’s the most important thing.

Planning My Bride Wedding Speech

Since I got engaged to my lovely husband Luke, I knew that I would have to write my own bride wedding speech. I didn’t really realize, how important part of the wedding this would actually be, and being busy with all the planning of the wedding, I kept putting it out until the last moment – where I finally realized that I had to sit down and start writing on my wedding speech.

That is basically the best advice you can get: Start planning your speech in good time. I would wish I had done that.

When you think about your bride speech, it is really quite challenging task; after all you first have to stand in front of everyone and say your vows, and after that you have to make a speech. That can be pretty nerve-wracking!

As I got closer to my big day, I really tried to think of an emotional and beautiful wedding speech – but I just couldn’t think of what to say. So I decided to sit down and just write down keywords for all of my ideas of what I wanted to include in the speech. Talk to the bridegroom, my father, mother and thanking all the guests for coming to the wedding.

Now, believe me when I say that there are faster ways to plan a bride wedding toast, but this was a great way for me to start on my speech. I just put down a lot of things about me and Luke, good memories, my sister and maid of honor, the best man and the story of how I ended up with Luke.

It really helped me when I started using guides and just put down my thoughts. I think the best way to plan the wedding speech, is actually never to start writing it. If you just put down your thoughts and all the things you want to include, you are over the first major hurdle of writing the perfect bride wedding speech.
